Doe Season

Just by reading the title I thought that this story was going to have something to do with hunting which it only had a little bit of hunting envoled but a great title and made me what to figure out what it was about. The title says Doe Season in which Doe meaning female deer . This story is interesting by the fact that it really doesnt have to much to do with hunting but about how the young girl is just trying to be part of the guys she wants to be able to do things like them she feels they get to do much more. Her father brings her into that life by letting her do manly things then he takes her hunting and shows her what goes on and she changes her mind and realizes that she is going to be herself . I thought this was a great story that will make people know that they should just be who you are , and not try to be something your not .

The problem with human compassion

After reading this story I thought that it was crazy how everyone in the world helped to save one dog who was stuck on a ship. People donated all types of money just to get this little dog rescued and the world can struggle to help people when they are in need of help. I decided to look up Hokget she was famous , she was a 2 year old terrier who spent 24 days alone on a ship eating rodentws and drinking puddles. Valentines Day

Valentines Day is an annual holiday held on February 14th celebrating love and affection between inimate companions. It is traditionally a day on which lovers express their love for each other by presenting flowers, offering confectionery and sending greeting cards known as "valentines". They consider valentines day to be halmarks biggest selling day of the year everyone gets everyone cards .

A mix tape

I found this short story very interesting its pretty cool how they made a whole story happen with just love songs. I have never seen something like this so it was pretty cool on how to put it all together and figure out what they were saying . The song "Lets Talk about Sex" by Salt N Pepa was a hit song back in the 90's it was also a hit in other countries , they used this song as part of the short story.

Under the Banyan Tree

When first reading this I had no idea what a banyan tree was so I looked it up and found out that it is a fig that starts its life as an epiphyte when its seeds germinate in the cracks and crevices on a host tree or on structure like buildings and bridges. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banyan

A&P

What I found out about is that it is a supermarket and the A&P stands for atlantic and pacific. I found a website that shows everything about the A&P supermarket and there are still some places where you can find an A&P supermarket there are some of them located in Conneticut and some in New York. You can tell that the story is written back in the day because the way the boy talks about the girls and what they are wearing . Also because the boss speaks to the girls and many people stare at the girls as if they were whores and like they never saw someone come in to public the way the girls were dressed but then again most people dont dress in bikinis in public places with nothing else on over it .
